BeeFreedom LLC (“BeeFreedom,” “we,” “our” or “us”) operates the BeeFreedom website, the BeeFreedom mobile application, and the related services that connect customers (“Hives”) with verified service providers (“Bees”) (together, the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Use.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly, information we collect automatically as you use the Platform, and information we receive from third parties.
Information you provide
- Account & profile: first and last name, email, phone, password, role (Hive or Bee), language preference, profile photo, and the addresses and service areas you choose to share.
- Bee verification: identity documents, business licenses, insurance certificates, and information needed for background checks.
- Quotes, bookings, messages: the requests, quotes, scheduling info, in-app messages, and reviews you send through the Platform.
- Payments: last-four of card, brand, ZIP, and the customer/account tokens issued by our payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers, CVCs, or bank account numbers on our servers.
Information we collect automatically
- Device & usage: IP address, device type, OS, app version, browser, language, referrer, pages/screens viewed, in-app interactions, and crash diagnostics.
- Location: when you grant permission, coarse or precise location so we can match you with nearby Bees or display jobs in your service area.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Operate the Platform — register your account, verify your identity, match Hives with Bees, deliver quotes and bookings, run payments through Stripe.
- Communicate with you — transactional email and SMS, announcements, push notifications.
- Maintain trust & safety — run background checks on Bees, detect fraud or abuse, enforce our Terms.
- Improve the Platform — analyze usage trends, debug crashes, A/B test product changes.
- Comply with the law — keep tax, accounting, and regulatory records and respond to lawful requests.
3. How We Share Your Information
- Between Hives and Bees: when you book or quote a service, the other side sees the parts of your profile and request needed to deliver the service.
- Service providers acting on our behalf: Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Twilio (SMS), Checkr (background checks), Amazon Web Services (hosting), PostHog (analytics).
- Legal & safety: to comply with law, respond to lawful process, protect users.
